Social Value Plan
The Net Zero Society CIC

Offsetting through a membership scheme

The Net Zero Society is a Community Interest Company (CIC) designed for individuals, families, and businesses to offset their carbon and plastic footprint through a membership scheme. Members are encouraged to view offsetting as the initial step, providing immediate impact, while focusing on reduction as the long-term goal to achieve net zero.

Objectives

  • Build a community of individuals, families, and businesses committed to offsetting their carbon and plastic footprints by collectively purchasing credits.

  • Adhere to the United Nations’ frameworks for sustainability goals.

  • Reinvest profits into Net Zero Society’s projects, such as renewable energy initiatives and net-zero social housing.

  • Offer educational programs on reduction techniques and goals.

Social Value Key Performance Indicators

Key Performance Indicator progress will be measured and tracked on www.netzerosociety.com

Partnerships & Collaboration

To achieve the above objectives the following stakeholders will need to be involved:

  • Government: Enforce regulations, incentivise businesses to reduce carbon and plastic footprints, and actively support net-zero project planning (at local authority level).

  • Businesses: Adopt sustainable practices and encourage their clients to do like-wise, and invest in green technologies.

  • NGOs: Partner with like-minded organisations to advance environmental goals.

  • Consumers: Educate consumers for a better understanding of a Net Zero Society and create a shift in consumer behaviour which will encourage more sustainable choices.

Monitoring & Reporting

We will conduct regular assessments to track progress against targets and establish feedback loops with members and clients to refine and improve the plan.
